6th July 2017

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Ref: Fantastic Ofsted report below.

As you are aware, Glory Farm School was inspected on the 6th and 7th June, 2017. We were last inspecting in October 2013, when we were judged to be “Requires Improvement”.

I am absolutely delighted to inform you that we are now officially a “Good” school.

We are absolutely delighted with this report. Inspectors have stated that Glory Farm is “ambitious for pupils and staff and has a shared vision for the education (we) want to provide.”

We are particularly proud of the fact that we have been judged to be “relentless” in our “efforts to keep improving outcomes for all groups of pupils”, with “pupils making good progress overall”. Indeed, inspectors noted that the pupils’ progress has “improved since the school joined the multi-academy trust”.

It is also important to note that inspectors credited the good behaviour of pupils around the school, commenting on their positive attitudes to learning.

We are extremely proud of our children, staff and parents, who have all made a magnificent contribution to this outcome. Indeed, we have very few “key Issues” to address. The majority of our key issues in this report were raised by ourselves in our self-evaluation documentation, so there were no surprises!

To add to this, we have had an extremely pleasing set of Key Stage 2 results, which were returned to us on Tuesday – more of this later!

We are now entering our next phase – the “Journey to Outstanding”, or “J2O” as we call it!

Once again, many thanks to you all for your continued support

Best wishes

Ian Elkington
